Artist: Jay Kaes
Jay Kaes is an award-winning urban artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings can be seen around the globe. His aim through his art is to motivate people through look, with pieces of art loaded with modern references and meaning. These works address current issues, in order to contribute with something positive to nowadays society.
Jay also focuses on how Technology has advanced over the recent years – this blend of painting, street art and tech makes a unique and mind-bending combination. He describes his works as a creative process that focuses on the interrelation of art and technology. Kaes' vibrant compositions embody the change in humanity due to technology and exponential growth. He also explores the human ability to deal with these changes and its effects on the way we view ourselves and our future.
His first solo show as a painter was launched in 2021 at the NUC Gallery (Switzerland). Other standout works, include a 600 square feet wall for Galería Vertical (Reinosa), a 22x9m mural for the ARTWLK 5 Festival that featured AR and a mural against homophobia in football for Southampton FC. In addition, Jay has painted murals for companies such as Sony, Marvel, the BBC or Netflix.
