The Paris-Barcelona via Bogotá connection is here: Chanoir & Pez present a new series of hand-finished prints produced by Spezial Editionz and we cannot feel more proud; the result is striking! All these works are unique and are signed by the artists of the Logoteam. A dozen of prints with a dozen of iterations, for lovers of their distinctitive vivid and captivating multi-colored works but also for the collectors eager of more restrained works, that hey! they also work peculiarly well!
This is also the first time we are releasing works from Chanoir. For those who don't know him yet, he is an artist internationally known for the energy and optimism of his art. Chanoir works since the 90s with a universal visual language, based on the belief that art and artists are positive change agents. Chanoir's work, which is born from the fusion of Pop Art and Free Figuration, draws on knowledge of Art history and is nourished by popular humor, childhood memories and a sense of contemporary aesthetics. The artist develops a graphic style marked by bright colors, one-dimensional planes and figures with simplified and immediate shapes, typical characteristics of logos and labels.
His works have been exhibited in galleries over the world and sold at the most prestigious auction houses (Artcurial, Drouot), leading him to work with big brands such as Samsung, Emanuel Ungaro, Cacharel, Ubisoft for Just Dance, and Disney. In 2019, he was named a Knight of Arts and Letters in France.
When Pez and Chanoir met, more than 20 years ago, the match was immediate and started collaborating and developing a friendship that still lasts after all these years. Now it's the chance to see their symbiosis on paper, another spezial work for the 25th anniversary of Pez as an artist.
As in every Spezial Editionz drop, these works are 100% original and come straight from the artists to ensure it. A Certificate of Authenticity by Spezial Editionz will be issued for the occasion as well.
